Trip to Puri

 Hello guys,

Today I am here to share my trip experience to Puri, Odisha. I and my younger sister were on a trip together. We took the Garibnath train for Puri, it is a direct train from Patna to Puri and runs only ones in a week, so it wasn’t a problem for us to go but in return, we took the via route, puri to Bhubaneshwar and there to Patna. I will advise you while taking via route first know where will be your station and how’s that area. Because in via route there are many small stations where you can feel unsafe especially when traveling at night.

We decided to book hotels through an app, nowadays we have the option to book on the app and pay at the hotel, booking through an app will cost you less than the real prices of hotels. We wanted to stay at the beach sight and we were at Puri beach sight hotel but I will recommend you to stay at Swargdwar beach sight hotel because it has more nice views and beach area with 2km distance from Jagannath temple.

If you want to book a direct hotel then you can choose the area and reserve auto they will show you hotels at that place.

Besides temples, there are many sights seen which you should not miss out:

    Daringbadi

    A small Kashmir of Odissa, who can say that there will be a hill station in the hot Odissa were snowfall occur in winter. Daringbadi is the place in Odissa where you can feel this. It is also one of the smallest coffee plantation area in India. Surrounded by nature beauty, pine jungles, mountain and valleys.

    International Eco village in Belghar

Belghar is 100 km from Daringbadi, in this village you will get a chance to meet the Dongia tribe and explore their tradition and culture. You should also not miss out the chance to see enjoy the Demsa Dance.

You can reach Daringbadi by booking a private taxi from the station like Berhampur, Phulbani, you can also prefer the public transport of bus. If thinking to take train then let me tell you there is no direct train you will have to get down at Berhampur which is 125 km from the Daringbadi.

     Astaranga Beach

This beach is famous for colourfully sunset point. You can see multiple colors scattered in sky while sunset, you can seat here with a coconut water in hand and can enjoy this nature beauty. This beach is also famous for fishing, you can get variety of fishes here.

         Ratnagiri

This place is situated in odissa,  their is one more Ratnagiri that is in Maharashtra so don’t get confused in both. This place is famous for the Maharashtra and Buddhist monastery.  If you want to feel the spiritual and love visiting historic places then you should must visit Ratnagiri.

You can reach here by:

  • Air: The Bhubaneswar airport is the nearest airport for Astaranga Beach, you hire any car from here to reach your destination.
  • Railway: Puri Railway station is a nearest railway station to reach Astaranga Beach  (65 km from station).
  • Road: By roads also you can visit, Astaranga Beach is well connected from the road , you can travel with car or bus. The nearest bust stop is in Konark,  from here beach is 18km away.
